30 days Strategy for CDS 1 Exam!

This is why thousands of aspirants with an adventurous streak and reverence for their motherland aspire to join the forces.

The UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) 2022 exam is set to take place on April 10, 2022. The admit card for the exam is expected to be released three weeks before the exam date, which is tentatively scheduled for March 20-25, 2022.


This year, a total of 341 CDS 1 vacancies were announced across the three wings, namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. In addition, recruitment will take place at the Officer's Training Academy in Chennai.


This strategy I am sharing here is intended for:

  • Those students who have recently graduated and recently learned about the CDS exam and now wish to take their first attempt for the upcoming CDS exam, which is scheduled to take place in about a month.

  • For the students who have fallen behind in their CDS exam preparation and now want to give it their all in the next 30 days.

AND

  • Especially for those candidates who are prepared to work extremely hard for the upcoming CDS exam, which is only 30 days away.


There will be the following 3 Paper in the CDS For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:

  • Paper 1 English Language: there will be 120 questions of 100 marks.

  • Paper 2 General Knowledge: there will be 120 questions of 100 marks.

  • Paper 3 Elementary Mathematics: there will be 100 questions of 100 marks.

  • The duration of each paper will be of 120 minutes, i.e. of 2 hours.

And for the admission to Officer’s training academy there will be the following two papers:

  • Paper 1 English: there will be 120 questions of 100 marks.

  • Paper 2 General Knowledge: there will be 120 questions of 100 marks.


Below is the concrete study plan to cover all the important topics in the CDS General Knowledge syllabus in 30 days of the exam:

  • Geography: 5 days

  • History: 6 days

  • Indian Polity: 5 days

  • Current Affairs & Static GK: 6 days

  • General Science: 3 days

  • Revision and Mock Tests: 3 days

  • Relax and Revise easy topics: 1 day

  • Day 30th CDS Exam Day


Here are some tried-and-true important tips for passing the CDS Exam and joining the professional uniformed services:

  • You will have an overview of subjects as well as the exact CDS exam pattern, which will be useful in your next CDS attempt.

  • Every day you must go through the Current Affairs (focusing mainly on Defence topics).

  • Remember that the number of hours here includes all types of preparation. Not only just go through the topics but you should also practice a few CDS Online Mock Tests.

  • Large numerical problems should be avoided and limit yourself to basic information and thorough conceptual analysis. Formulae, on the other hand, are all extremely important.

  • Once a topic is completed, keep sets of copies of all preparatory notes in a separate location. If you believe you have worked hard, give yourself some free time every six days.

  • To cover the essentials, use NCERT books as a reference. Remember not to overburden yourself. Maintain your interest.

  • CDS Exam English Tips

There will be 120 questions in this section. To achieve the highest possible score, a candidate should concentrate on the Grammar and vocabulary section, which is intended to assess the candidate's understanding of English in terms of proficiency and word use. The best way to prepare is to read, make a habit of reading the newspaper and attempt our Daily Quiz.

  • CDS Exam General Knowledge Tips

There will be 120 questions in this section. Analyze previous years' question papers to identify the high weightage topics.

Revise important facts from those topics. To get the most out of this section, candidates should concentrate on Geography, History, General Science, and Politics.

  • CDS Exam Mathematics Tips

There will be 100 questions in this section and practice is the key to mastering it. To achieve the highest possible score in this section, a candidate should concentrate on Algebra, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Geometry, Mensuration, and Statistics. “Try different levels of questions.”
