Just think! We hear the news that any youngster have committed a suicide……what reason clicks in our mind very first- Exam Failure. In this generation, we take our studies as competition and take this competition as pressure. Can a single exam decide our abilities- Obviously not. Students who are studying for exams are frequently stressed. The stress of the exam can cause feelings of anxiety or nervousness, and this can interfere with the individual's daily life. While some stress can be beneficial, excessive exam stress can cause individuals to perform poorly on tests that are extremely important to them.



Cause Of Exam Stress

Understanding the causes of exam stress can help students understand their emotions and manage their anxiety. The main reason for taking exam stress is over expectation!


1. Parents Expectation: Parents expect too much from their children which is not wrong but sometimes this expectation becomes a burden to their children and they get distracted from their destination. Instead of focussing on exam preparation they start comparing themselves.


2. Inadequate Planning: When students do not believe they have thoroughly covered the reading material, they start feeling nervousness and anxiety as they enter the exam room. Students should study well in advance of the exam and not wait until the last minute to prepare. Anxiety will rise as a result of hurried, last-minute study. Students who do not get enough sleep before an exam may experience increased stress.


3. Internal Strain: The pressure to succeed and perform well should not be generated by a student's family; however, the student can apply the pressure to himself. If the student aspires to be the best, poor test performance may be a source of great anxiety. This negative approach will increase exam stress if the student spends too much time thinking about how difficult the exam is and worrying about the outcome of the test.


How To Deal With It?

Try to speak with others and do yoga to be calm. Students should take proper sleep and healthy food to be physically fit. Don’t force yourself to study an extra hour; Study when you are in a mood to do so.
